Targeted treatment for selected skin growths.
Skin tags, warts and cherry angiomas are common skin concerns that can become bothersome because of their appearance, location or repeated friction. At CosMedik, treatment is selected according to the type, size and location of the growth.
A consultation allows us to assess the area before treatment and determine the appropriate approach. Some growths may require medical assessment before cosmetic treatment is considered.
Skin tags
Small, soft skin growths commonly found around areas of friction such as the neck, underarms and skin folds.
Warts
Common skin growths caused by HPV that can occur on different areas of the body and may spread from one area to another.
Cherry angiomas
Small red vascular spots that can be assessed to determine whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate.
Treatment selected according to the skin concern.
Skin tags, warts and cherry angiomas are different types of skin concerns and may require different treatment approaches. The area is assessed first so the treatment can be adapted to the specific concern.
Wart treatment
For appropriate warts, laser treatment can target the small blood vessels supplying the wart, allowing the treated tissue to gradually dry and resolve.
Skin tag removal
Skin tags can be removed when they are unwanted or repeatedly irritated by friction. The appropriate removal method is selected after the area has been assessed.
Cherry angioma treatment
Selected cherry angiomas can be assessed to determine whether cosmetic treatment is appropriate. The treatment approach depends on the size, location and appearance of the vascular spot.

Skin Tag & Wart Removal FAQ
How many treatments can wart removal require?
The number of treatments varies depending on the type, size, location and how the area responds. Some warts may require more than one session. We assess the area first and explain the expected treatment plan during your consultation.
Are warts contagious?
Yes. Warts are associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) and can spread through contact. Avoid picking at a wart and follow the hygiene and care instructions provided by the clinic.
Why do people remove skin tags?
Skin tags are often removed because of their appearance or because they become irritated by friction from clothing, jewellery or surrounding skin.
Will removing a skin tag cause more skin tags to grow?
Removing a skin tag does not cause new skin tags to grow. However, people who are prone to skin tags may develop new ones in other areas over time.
Can every skin growth be removed at CosMedik?
Not necessarily. The area should be assessed before treatment. If a growth is unusual or requires medical evaluation, you may be advised to have it examined before cosmetic removal is considered.
